Discover the beauty of Botanical Plaster Casting.

Botanical plaster casts uniquely preserve the transient beauty of plants and flowers permanently. The plaster captures intricate details of the subject, giving the finished piece a delicate and lifelike quality. Every frond, filament, stem, and shoot is immortalized, frozen in time for repeated appreciation.

My story

Hi, I’m Jen, a plaster artist based in Liverpool. I discovered botanical plaster casting while seeking a new technique to explore. My work has always focused on nature—through painting, printmaking, or sculpture—and I quickly fell in love with plaster.

The very first cast I made was from the tomato plants in my back yard, the closest greenery available as I eagerly rolled clay to try out this new method. Though simple, that initial effort revealed how beautifully the process can capture the intricate details of plants and flowers. That tomato cast still sits on my mantle as a reminder of that moment of discovery.

Since then, I have dedicated myself to refining both my technical and compositional skills. Drawing inspiration from the cyclical seasons of change and transformation has deeply enriched my practice, and I am delighted to be learning more about the natural world through this art form.

Flowers and plants often symbolise celebration, remembrance, and reflection, and it is a privilege to hear my clients’ stories and create keepsakes of their gardens, wedding bouquets and meaningful blooms.

Please get in touch using the form on this site if you would like to discuss a project or ask a question.
